SHARON RAE

Founder

Sharon first became involved in the fashion industry in 1971, after a brief stint in accounting.  Before throwing herself into the rag trade she also worked in hospitality for 5 years.

After returning from “the” European trip in 1977 she represented a number of national wholesale menswear labels in Sydney, including the Advance Australia range, product development and sales.

1984 saw her join Ragtrader (the leading industry newspaper founded by Fraser McEwing) where she was thrown into the world of forecasting and Pantone(R) when the Fashion & Home division was launched globally.

In 1991 she founded Fashion Forecast Services, from which time she travelled seasonally visiting key international cities and trade fairs, gaining exclusive representation for leading forecast studios based in Europe, UK and USA.  Including sole distribution of the Pantone(R) Fashion & Home product range.

She rebranded her Pantone  business in 2008 under the Colour Intelligence banner and continued with Fashion Forecast Services representing key international trend services and offering reports across many industries reflecting commercial and retail understanding to the Australian market.

During the years Sharon has been instrumental in bringing many internationally re-known speakers to Australia for a number of trade fairs and forums, including L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Fashion Exposed, Designex & Decor & Design.

Today she has paired back her business and now concentrates on representing leading trend studios;  BDA|LDN,  Fashion Snoops,  Luminary Colour and Trendhub allowing her to showcase these highly respected international agencies.
